Chitwan National Park

 Chitwan National Park, Nepal’s first national park, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best wildlife destinations in South Asia. It is located in the lowland Terai region, covering 952.63 sq. km. The park is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, including the endangered one-horned rhinoceros, Bengal tigers, gharial crocodiles, elephants, and more than 500 species of birds.

  • By Air: Fly from Kathmandu to Bharatpur (20-minute flight), then drive about 30 minutes to the park.
  • By Road: Drive from Kathmandu (about 5-6 hours) or Pokhara (4-5 hours) by bus or private vehicle.
